Visiting the Nelson Tasman Region

Visitors, and those of us who are lucky enough to live here, love the Nelson Tasman region for its wide variety of landscapes, fantastic weather and family-friendly atmosphere. Plenty to do outdoors and a wide range of art and wine options for the enthusiasts.

Mapua Wharf

Mapua Wharf is a hub for visitors and locals. A flat, five minute walk from the Bakery, the Wharf has a wine bar, a boutique brewery, restaurants, a fish and chip shop and galleries.

Abel Tasman National Park

A 40 minute drive takes you to one of New Zealand's most beautiful National Parks - The Abel Tasman. Bush-clad hills (with a coastal path) run down to sandy beaches and clear blue water. Popular with walkers, kayakers, boaties and for wildlife sightseeing.

Galleries + Wineries

The region boasts many art galleries with a diverse range of art, sculpture, ceramics and homewares on show. We are also a renowned wine region and many of the local wineries offer tastings and tours.
